Child Care Initiative Project

Child care initiative project provides funds to support recruitment for family child care providers, training and assistance for new and previously licensed family child care providers. Funds are awarded through the California Department of Social Services.

The goal of the Child Care Initiative Project is to increase the number of licensed family child care homes and to promote quality child-care in-home environments. The Child Care Initiative Project provides support for the recruitment and retention of family child care providers through trainings, workshops, technical assistance and home visits.
