This letter is to inform you of recent changes to state laws governing the Regional Market Rate (RMR) ceilings.
Beginning January 1, 2018, per the Budget Act of 2017 the California Department of Education will increase the Regional Market Rate (RMR) ceilings. A copy of the revised RMR ceilings will be posted on the web at: http://www3.cde.ca.gov/rcscc and will become effective January 1, 2018. RMR ceilings are used when determining the maximum amount of reimbursement authorized to a provider for a child’s care.
Child Development Resources (CDR) will use the revised RMR ceilings starting with the January 2018 Child Care Attendance Sheets that will be processed and reimbursed the last working day of the regularly scheduled month of February 2018. However, it is important to know that a provider’s reimbursement amount may or may not increase and it may or may not eliminate a copayment to the provider.
If you have any questions about this letter, or if you do not have access to a computer, please contact CDR’s Resource & Referral Department at (805) 485-7878 ext. 1512. Otherwise, please refer to the Subsidized Child Care Web page at: http://www3.cde.ca.gov/rcscc to view and or print a copy of the RMR ceilings.
